Bit Fancy - What I Want (1988)

Hi my friends. Did you see this record before? I never saw this one, but a long time ago I found it on a record store on the web. Because of the price (less than 5 bucks) I thought it was a common record, but when I tried to find info, I understood the seller didn’t know about the rarity of the record.
This is What I Want by Bit Fancy from 1988. You may know the singer of this track. She is the vocalist of Black Pearl, the group who recorded just a year before Don’t Turn Away (or at least that’s what they say on youtube).
All the tracks on this vinyl are simply amazing, really cool & the edits are just perfect.
Well, hope you enjoy this record, have a nice week. God bless you.

Tolga - Leave It All Behind (1988)

Hello my friends! I’m back this cold rainy Monday (well, in my town it is). Today I have another classic from the 80’s, one of the first I herd on a mixtape. It’s Tolga’s Leave It All Behind. I wanted the Midtown version but, well, I found this one for now.
Enjoy it my friends. God bless you.

Sa-Fire - Boy I've Been Told (1988)

Hola everybody! Today I’m here posting for you this classic track from 1988. It’s Sa-Fire’s hit Boy I’ve Been Told. This has to be one of the first Freestyle songs I herd in my life because, as I know, my dad bought this record when I was just a few months old, haha. And I remember I liked Sa-Fire & all her singles when I was a kid.
My favorite versions are of course Club Mix & the Rascal Dub. I don’t usually like dub versions but this one is really really cool &… interesting, haha.
I’m re-uploading everything to 4Shared. If you see something wrong in the 4Shared links please tell me, I’m working for you.
Oh & yeah, forget about the zShare links, they’re dead.
See you next week with another Freestyle classic. God bless you.

Noel - Like A Child (1988)

Hi my dear friends & fans of Freestyle music! I’m back this Sunday with this classic hit from late 80’s. This is not one of my favorite songs (I have the record because one of my uncles gave it to me), but I know somebody here will like it. My favorite of Noel of course is Silent Morning.
Well, hope you like this 45, despite it includes only 2 short versions hehe. Have a nice week & keep Freestyle music alive! God bless you friends!

Stevie B - I Wanna Be The One (1988)

Hello, I’m back after 2 long weeks, I was very stressed & full of homework, but here I am. Today I have this 7’’ from Stevie B’s hit “I Wanna Be The One”.
Side A is the classic radio version of this song, my favorite version for some reason. Side B has the Extended Version of the song, but, there is a problem with it. The grooves on this side are very close to each other, to make this version of 7:00 minutes “fit” on this 7’’ record. As I know, it’s almost impossible to do it with a high tone recording, but they did it. The result: Very low recording sound & very high surface sound.
However, this song is really good. Like I use to say, I really hope you enjoy this record.
See you next week. Oh! I found a record I like so much & next time I will post it, hope you like it too. Which one? Hehehehe.
God Bless You!

Bonton - Crying From A Broken Heart (1988)

Hello my friends! Today I’m really happy because today started autumn (or fall, however haha). I’m that happy that I posted one record of my special collection. Also, this is my number 4 on my “Top 10: Favorite Freestyle Songs Ever”.
As I know (because I asked on youtube, personally to the husband of the girl who sings) they released only 1000 copies of this record, but they sold less than 900. But the fact with this record is not the rarity, the fact is that it is really really good, really strong, with nice vocals & edits. The producers, editors, programmers, mixers & singer were genius of music, & I still wonder why they didn’t released another record.
I don’t have a favorite version on this record because all 4 versions are really good.
Enjoy this record, play it on your car, your house, your work station, your parties, with your friends, wherever you go, because I posted it specially for you 
God bless you my friends, see you next week with another record.

Kariya - Let Me Love You For Tonight (1988)

Once again, hello!! Now I have right here this 12’’ single with 2 different styles. This is Let Me Love You For Tonight by Kariya. It seems to be the first version of this song (because there are a lot of remixes of the 90’s & the 00’s). Side X includes 3 awesome Freestyle (Hip-Hop) versions. Side Y includes 2 house versions & an acapella that can be mixed with other songs & beats. You know, I don’t like house versions of Freestyle songs, but here I had to make an exception.
Well, the vinyl is not in perfect condition but, well, it sounds very good.
See you next week my friends  Have a wonderful weekend & God Bless You.

The Cover Girls - Promise Me b/w One Night Affair (1988)

Hello EVERYBODY! Sorry for the time, but I had to take some vacations to go & visit my friends. But now I’m back with this release from 1988. Today I have 2 classics from the 80’s, a classic Freestyle song & one of the most beautiful slow-jams ever for me.
This is Promise Me by The Cover Girls with One Night Affair, produced by Lewis A. Martinee (& if you listen carefully to it, it sounds like an Exposé’s song).
The scan is Side B, for some reason on both sides it reads 1987, but the sleeve reads 1988. Sorry for the bad quality of the picture I took to the cover of the record, also you can see me, but it was my best, hahaha.
Have a wonderful weekend, & week, & next time I’ll see you right here. God Bless You.

Cindy Rae - You're My Devotion (1988)

Hi once again my friends, today I have for you this record I posted almost 3 years ago, but now with the magic of ION Profile Turntable hahaha.
This is You’re My Devotion performed by Cindy Rae back in 1988, this was produced & edited by Chep Nuñez.
All the 3 versions of this song are really cool, also Dub version. I don’t like dub versions of most of the songs but this one is really good.
Enjoy all the versions of this danceable song, next week I’ll come back with a new record for you, keep following our blog & share it with your friends.
Have a nice day, God Bless You.

Girl Talk - Dance With Me (Baila Baila) (1988)

Hello friends, it’s Friday here in my town, it’s time for another Freestyle release. Today I have Dance With Me by Girl Talk, another of my favorites!! I’m not sure but it seems to be from 1988. It has 4 versions, but my favorites are on Side A, Radio & Radio Edited.

If you heard before this song, dance with it & listen to it once again, but if you don’t listen to it yet, I know you will like it J

Have a wonderful weekend & a gorgeous week, God Bless You friends.

Glenn Street - Hardline (1988)

Hello my dear friends!! Today I have for you this 1988 record released by On The Spot Records. You know, I always knew On The Spot Records because of there Hi-NRG, italo, dance music (when my dad was a DJ, he had Stacey Q's Two Of Hearts from 1985 released on this label). But then, searching for more info about this label, I found there was more than that. This label has some of my favorite Freestyle tunes, those are Sue Gatlin's Two Of Hearts, Show Me Girl by Facadz, 3 American Mexican's Sweet Sensation (all listened on cassette tapes or mp3, but someday gonna get 'em on vinyl, yeah!), & this one, the most common of there Freestyle tunes.
Enjoy it my friends, the half speed version is... really interesting, hahaha, I mean, it can be mixed with anything (I wish it had a complete vocal half speed version), & of course the 12'' dance mix is awesome.
Have a gorgeous week my friends, God Bless You.

Will To Power - Say It's Gonna Rain (1988)

Hello everybody! Today I have right here this 1988 single from Epic Records, it’s Say It’s Gonna Rain by Will To Power. The song is OK, but the female vocals really rock. I love the chorus saying "You say it's gonna rain, & no one gonna go out tonight", it reminds me those good rainy days with my love staying at home, haha.

I’m not sure about who’s the singer, I always thought it was Suzi Carr, but I’m not sure. If you have some info please tell us J.

The second picture you see is the promotional stamp on the sleeve of the record.

Well, see you soon my friends, I’ll try to post something more this week, a classic I posted before. Bye.

Stop - Move Your Body (1988)

Hi my dear friends, today I'm back with this record I posted 2 years ago. It's a hi-nrg latin freestyle song produced by one of my favorite hi-nrg groups, Stop, the same guys who recorded Wake Up in 85.
The record is as damaged as the paper sleeve, as I know, the original owner stored his records in a cardboard box on his backyard for many years... but it plays well, haha.
Enjoy this record, enjoy this week & have a wonderful Christmas eve :)
God Bless You friends.

Bose - Robo-Cop (Who-R-U) (1988)

Hello to all my friends. I posted this record more than 2 years ago, when FreestyleTown started, but now it is once again with a better sound quality & a louder sound.
This is from 1988. Is an electro-freestyle-breack-beat tune I found a long time ago. It was produced by Rockwell Records, & distributed by Hot Productions. You will love this song, my favorite version is Radio.
Have a nice week & tell me if you like this record.

Little Suzy - Randy (1988)

Good evening my friends, now I'm sharing this record I posted a few years ago. This is the first song Little Suzy recorded, when she was just 8 years old.
This is a good song, the edits are really good too.
I'm not sure but Lil' Suzy seems to be the youngest freestyle diva of all times.
Enjoy this record & tell me... don't you love how tender this tune sounds? Love it! :D

Ivette Carrion - Let Me Be (1988)

Hello friends, tonight I'm posting this track from 88. Let Me Be by Genuine Part's Ivette Carrion, one of my favorites from Freestyle, don't know why, maybe because it has everything I like about freestyle, a nice voice, cool beats, amazing edits, Miami sound & the best of all, it is from 1988 (for me, the best year for music).
I just can't explain why artists like her just recorded one song & then they dissapear (or they have even rarer recordings).
See you my friends, enjoy this record &... DANCE!!! =D

Lady Rose - Where We Please (1988)

Hello, this is the second record for today, this rare, amazing, strong, hot song from 1988.
Don't know who's Lady Rose but it seems she was a real artist. She wrote this song, she's the singer & she also played the guitar of this tune.
The second track of Side A seems to be a rap of the original song.
I can't believe there were only 3 people working on this song.
See you next week my friends.
I don't know how many times I'll keep posting 'till saturdays or sundays 'cause my homework is taking all my time.

Chrissy I-Eece - Love Desire (1988)

Chrissy Hernandez, most known as Chrissy I-Eece recorded this song back in 1988, it was produced & edited by Chep Nuñez on Blue Dog Records (the only 2 records I know of this label are this one & Marc Anthony's Rebel).
Side A of the record sounds great, but side B is so dirty & scratched, but it's playable (I believe the original owner of this vinyl used the first side to play & side B to scratch).
I think it has wrong order in 2 tracks, because Bonus Beats sound like Edited Version, & Edited Version like Bonus Beats.
Wait, because this weekend I will post another record.

Sweet Sensation - Take It While It's Hot b/w Coj Elo Lo Que Esta Caliente (1988)

Hola my friends :D Tonight I wanna start October with this smash hit from the 80's. I posted it before & I wanna post it once again. It is Take It While It's Hot by Sweet Sensation. This 7'' is really special for me, because it has 2 versions I never heard on any Freestyle compilation or radio.
The slow-jam intro on both sides is just amazing & the spanish version is really cool.
The record is the same I posted before (with scratches & noisy vinyl) but now it has a better quality of transfer. For some reason my copy came on the generic ATCO sleeve & not on that cool picture sleeve of Sweet Sensation dressing there crazy colored dresses.
Have a nice weekend, enjoy this record & tell me if you like it.

intro:
yo he esperado, pacientemente
y he tratado de comprender

compartiremos mucho mucho amor

.

chorus:
Take it while it's hot, el tiempo ya está aqui
Take it while it's hot, y quiero amarte ya
Take it while it's hot, no me dejes sin tu amor
Take it while it's hot, quiero sentir tu calor

.

Sparkle - Love By Starlight (The Remix) (1988)

Hello once again, this Friday 24th I wanna share with you this vinyl from 1988.
This is Love By Starlight by Sparkle. It is not the original version (I don't have it yet), this one is The Remix from 1988.
Both records (original & The Remix) are from the same year but they have some differences. I really don't know exactly if Sparkle is a group, the artistic name, or the real name of the singer.
I hope you like this hot &... very explicit song with it's amazing rhythm & the strong, beautiful vocals of "Sparkle". It's one of my favorite jams of all times. Greetings.
