Daize - Wings Of Love b/w Don't Want To Lose Your Love (1991)

Hi my dear friends, welcome back to FreestyleTown, today I'm posting for you this 2 songs, 6 track record from 1991. It is Wings Of Love & Don't Want To Lose Your Love by Daize. Side 2 is one of my favorites, it brings back good memories for me, when I was 4yo back in 1992 & my high-school uncles used to listen this kind of music with me.
Enjoy this record my friends, I'll try to come back tomorrow night. God bless you.

Stop - Move Your Body (1988)

Hi my dear friends, today I'm back with this record I posted 2 years ago. It's a hi-nrg latin freestyle song produced by one of my favorite hi-nrg groups, Stop, the same guys who recorded Wake Up in 85.
The record is as damaged as the paper sleeve, as I know, the original owner stored his records in a cardboard box on his backyard for many years... but it plays well, haha.
Enjoy this record, enjoy this week & have a wonderful Christmas eve :)
God Bless You friends.

Daydream - Wait and See (1990)

Hello everybody, this cold night I'm posting for you this single I found last year in a garage sale in El Paso. When I saw it in front of my eyes I didn't believe it.
This record was released in 1990, by MKG Records, a Michael Kidd Gomez label. This song, for me sounds a lot like Tear Shed, produced by MKG just 2 years before this record.
All the record is so good, but the edits on Club at minute 3:40 really really rock!
If you're a Freestyle fan & you didn't hear this song before, I know you will love it :)
Have a happy weekend my friends, I'll try to come back 1 or 2 times before Christmas. God Bless You.

Vou Dou Danse - 2 Get 2 U b/w Give Me 2 Night (1992)

Hi friends, the reason I posted Give Me Tonight by Shannon last week it's because tonight I have something special for you, well, is one of my favorite Freestyle songs from the 90's.
Shannon recorded Give Me Tonight back in 1984, being one of the early hits on Freestyle music. Then in 1992, 8 years later, the group Vou Dou Danse (most known for the song Am I The One) released a cover of Shannon's hit.
So here it is the cover of that classic song, on side AA of this single released by Ex-It Records.
Side A of this vinyl is good too. Hope you enjoy it my friends, have a wonderful weekend & don't forget we're back next week. God Bless You.

Shannon - Give Me Tonight (1984)

Hello friends, here we are once again, but tonight with this classic single from 1984. This is the mexican edition for this record, it was released late 1984 by Discos Musart & Trébol. This record like all the Trébol records from the 80's has it's own sleeve, they never released a generic sleeve for those records. But if you remember, this sleeve is the generic sleeve for the Atlantic Records 12'' in the US in early 80's.
Also, for some reason, side A has the Dub Version of the song, & side B has the original version.
See you next week my friends. God bless you :)

Martika - Más De Lo Que Te Imaginas (1989)

Hi. I don't use to post albums or selected songs from an album in this blog, but today I had to make an exception.
This song called "Mas de lo que te Imaginas" is a spanish version for the Freestyle hit of Martika "More Than You Know". It only comes on some latin pressings of her self-titled album.
This is the mexican pressing, so the english version was replaced for this one, also it replaces her smash hit "Toy Soldiers" for a spanish version called "Como Un Juguete".
Enjoy it friends!!

Bose - Robo-Cop (Who-R-U) (1988)

Hello to all my friends. I posted this record more than 2 years ago, when FreestyleTown started, but now it is once again with a better sound quality & a louder sound.
This is from 1988. Is an electro-freestyle-breack-beat tune I found a long time ago. It was produced by Rockwell Records, & distributed by Hot Productions. You will love this song, my favorite version is Radio.
Have a nice week & tell me if you like this record.

Little Suzy - Randy (1988)

Good evening my friends, now I'm sharing this record I posted a few years ago. This is the first song Little Suzy recorded, when she was just 8 years old.
This is a good song, the edits are really good too.
I'm not sure but Lil' Suzy seems to be the youngest freestyle diva of all times.
Enjoy this record & tell me... don't you love how tender this tune sounds? Love it! :D

Louie Louie - Sittin' in The Lap of Luxury (1990)

Today I'm back with this song from 1990. This is more hip-hop than Freestyle, but it works.
This record produced in the US by WTG Records (same label of Nayobe on late 80's) was pressed in Mexico too, but here it was published by CBS.
This 7'' promotional record has the same song & version on both sides, that's why I posted just side 1.
See you next week my friends.

Ivette Carrion - Let Me Be (1988)

Hello friends, tonight I'm posting this track from 88. Let Me Be by Genuine Part's Ivette Carrion, one of my favorites from Freestyle, don't know why, maybe because it has everything I like about freestyle, a nice voice, cool beats, amazing edits, Miami sound & the best of all, it is from 1988 (for me, the best year for music).
I just can't explain why artists like her just recorded one song & then they dissapear (or they have even rarer recordings).
See you my friends, enjoy this record &... DANCE!!! =D

Jason Tomi - Cry For Love (1991)

Hi friends I'm back after a long week. Tonight I'm sharing this Ligosa record from 1991. I found it last week in the garage of one of my cousins, he bought it a long time ago but I just knew it last week... & he gave it to me with other records!!!
This one is Cry For Love by Jason Tomi from 1991. This one is more hip-hop than freestyle but it is really good. The last 2 versions on side 2 come together in the same link, because they come together like one track.
I hope you enjoy it & dance with it :)

Torré - Is It Too Late For Tomorrow (1986)

Hi again, I'm back with this classic from FreestyleTown. I posted this record 2 years ago & now here it is again.
This one is one of my favorite tracks ever. It is so hot & latin. What year was it produced? I saw it was released in 1986 but not sure. Where was it produced? It sounds like Miami, but I don't know exactly.
If you have some info of this record please share it with us. See you next week.

Tony "Dr. Edit" Garcia feat. Reinald-O & Phantom House - My Sweet Love b/w The Itch (1991)

Hello my friends. Today I'm here with this High Power release produced by Dr. Edit of course. It has 2 different artists in one record. On the first side is My Sweet Love by Reinald-O from 1989 & on the flip side is The Itch by Phantom House.
I think it was a bad idea to press a love song on one side & on the other a song about a new dance called the itch.
Well, the only clear version of The Itch is the radio mix, however, all the versions are so good, specially because they mix 'em with the synthetizer of Don't Go by Yazz.
See you soon friends, have a good week & a Happy Halloween.

Lady Rose - Where We Please (1988)

Hello, this is the second record for today, this rare, amazing, strong, hot song from 1988.
Don't know who's Lady Rose but it seems she was a real artist. She wrote this song, she's the singer & she also played the guitar of this tune.
The second track of Side A seems to be a rap of the original song.
I can't believe there were only 3 people working on this song.
See you next week my friends.
I don't know how many times I'll keep posting 'till saturdays or sundays 'cause my homework is taking all my time.

Chrissy I-Eece - Love Desire (1988)

Chrissy Hernandez, most known as Chrissy I-Eece recorded this song back in 1988, it was produced & edited by Chep Nuñez on Blue Dog Records (the only 2 records I know of this label are this one & Marc Anthony's Rebel).
Side A of the record sounds great, but side B is so dirty & scratched, but it's playable (I believe the original owner of this vinyl used the first side to play & side B to scratch).
I think it has wrong order in 2 tracks, because Bonus Beats sound like Edited Version, & Edited Version like Bonus Beats.
Wait, because this weekend I will post another record.

Johnny O - Highways Of Love (198?)

Welcome back friends! Tonight I'm back with the favorite Freestyle label of all times... MicMac Records!!!
This time I wanna share this record from late 80's (1988? 1989?), Highways of Love by Johnny O. This one is from the old MicMac releases (for me, old MicMac releases are those with the red reel-to-reel logo on white-gray label).
For those who like early house music, European Version is perfect, but for those Freestyle fans like me, Club & Masterpiece are the best on this recod.
Have a nice weekend my friends, see you next week.

Jill - Friendly Advice (1987)

HI! Tonight I'm sharin' this record too :) Jill had some good singles, this one is Friendly Advice from 1987. What I like about this record is it comes with 2 versions, Miami (latin & tropical) & New York (more electronic) mixes.
I am really confused about this record, one side reads Side One, the other, Side A, hehe.
I hope you like this one. See you next week with another single.

Sweet Sensation - Take It While It's Hot b/w Coj Elo Lo Que Esta Caliente (1988)

Hola my friends :D Tonight I wanna start October with this smash hit from the 80's. I posted it before & I wanna post it once again. It is Take It While It's Hot by Sweet Sensation. This 7'' is really special for me, because it has 2 versions I never heard on any Freestyle compilation or radio.
The slow-jam intro on both sides is just amazing & the spanish version is really cool.
The record is the same I posted before (with scratches & noisy vinyl) but now it has a better quality of transfer. For some reason my copy came on the generic ATCO sleeve & not on that cool picture sleeve of Sweet Sensation dressing there crazy colored dresses.
Have a nice weekend, enjoy this record & tell me if you like it.

Coj Elo Lo Que Está Caliente (Vocal / Spanish Version)
Lyrics for the spanish version
yo he esperado, pacientemente
y he tratado de comprender
compartiremos mucho mucho amor
Take it while it's hot, el tiempo ya está aqui
Take it while it's hot, y quiero amarte ya
Take it while it's hot, no me dejes sin tu amor
Take it while it's hot, quiero sentir tu calor
chorus x 2

Sparkle - Love By Starlight (The Remix) (1988)

Hello once again, this Friday 24th I wanna share with you this vinyl from 1988.
This is Love By Starlight by Sparkle. It is not the original version (I don't have it yet), this one is The Remix from 1988.
Both records (original & The Remix) are from the same year but they have some differences. I really don't know exactly if Sparkle is a group, the artistic name, or the real name of the singer.
I hope you like this hot &... very explicit song with it's amazing rhythm & the strong, beautiful vocals of "Sparkle". It's one of my favorite jams of all times. Greetings.

Hello, today I post once again this amazing latin tropical Freestyle tune from 1989. It is Hot Love by Shannon Beaty.
Like I said before, I don't know who Shannon Beaty is or how many songs she recorded. The only thing I know is she had a nice voice for Freestyle music & she did it good with this one.
If somebody knows more info or songs of her, please share with us. Thank you.

Angel Starling - Take Me I'm Yours (1987)

Hello friends, tonight I'm posting this obscure rare record from 1987.
It is Take Me I'm Yours by Angel Starling. I really don't know who is she but her song (that seems to be the only one she recorded) is really good.
Vocal version is so good, but Dub is not too much, is just the same instrumental track of Vocal but with edited & cut vocals.
I hope you enjoy this creepy (well, I think it is) & obscure song.

Hi again, now I post for you this Bianca 12'' single from 1989. It's Drums of Love by Seventh Heaven (then called 7th Heaven, however, it's the same).
This one is an excellent work of GT. Last 2 versions (called Radio both) are so different. Version 2 is like a short version of the original Club. Version 1 has other instruments & drum programming.

Hola friends. Tonight I'm posting for you this nice track of one of my favorite groups ever, Exposé. This small record has 2 Freestyle songs from the Exposure album from 1987.
This Let Me Be The One version is different to the album version. My favorite on this single is the b/w Love Is Our Destiny, is also one of my favorites on the album, it is a cool Freestyle song produced by Lewis Martineé too.

Spare Parts - Boys Will Be Boys (1986)

Hello, today I'm posting this vinyl requested by my friend NJDJ. It is Boys Will Be Boys by Spare Parts.
I bougth this record thinking it could be as good as One More Chance by Buck & Kenny, because both records are from the same label, Busy Bee Records.
I think this one is good, but Buck & Kenny's hit is hundred times better, just amazing.
Greetings to all my friends, I hope you enjoy this one.

Caló - No Es Verdad, Es Mentira (1991)

Hola amigos, today I wanna share with you this tune I found on a mexican record.
My dad gave me this album back in 1992, I was 4 years old, I used to listen just a few tracks everytime but not this one. Last year I played all the record & I found that the last song on side A sounds Freestyle.
Caló is a mexican group of rap & hip-hop tunes. This album was released back in 1991 on Polydor Records. It has hip-hop, rap, house, & this Freestyle track, all made in Mexico.
I hope you enjoy this song. The sound is a little lower than other records because it is the last song of side A & the grooves are really close.
See you this weekend with a new tune friends. Have a happy week.

Angela DeLuca - This Time Don't Turn Away (1992)

IT'S WEEKEND, IT'S TIME FOR A NEW TUNE! Hello once again, this time I'm posting for you this nice 5-track record. It's Angela DeLuca's This Time Don't Turn Away, but it is not the Tazmania version from 1994, this one is the original 1992 Harmon Street version.
It seems this record was produced just by 2 people, Thomas Nastasi & Angela DeLuca.
All the versions on this record sound very similar, there are not notorious differences between each song, but my favorite is the Club Version.
See you this week re-uploading some tunes I posted before, have a happy weekend.

The Beat Club - Dream World (1987)

Hi my dear friends. Today I'm re-uploading this track I posted in 2008, one of my personal favorites, Dream World by The Beat Club.
This record is from 1987, a year before The Beat Club released there #1 hit & one of the most significant electro-latin-freestyle tunes, Security
I hope you enjoy the 3 versions of this song.
This weekend I will post a new tune (new for the blog of course hehehe), so stay tuned for more freestyle.
Greetings my friends.

Gloria Russell - Frenchy Baby (1988)

HELLO MY FRIENDS!!! After a year without posts I’m back like I promised you.
In all this time I’ve found some vinyls I wanna share with you, but for now I wanna start with this one. This is really special for me. I really don’t know who’s Gloria Russell, but I have to say she had an amazing tune, this one. It’s Frenchy Baby from 1988.
It was released by Flamingo Kid Records, a rare label that just had (as I know) this tune & First Luv by a group called One Step.
I really really hope you enjoy this record. The track you have to listen is La Frenchy, a short but amazing club version of this song.
Hope to see you next week my friends, I’ll post a new one or maybe re-post one I posted before. Don’t forget to comment please. God bless you.
